Lions

The lion prefers to hunt in prides, with the females doing the bulk of the killing while the males assist the females in bringing down large prey. A primary job for the male is to protect the pride of females and their young from marauding male lions that will kill the young, and the eternal and bitter enemy of the lion, the hyena. They lead a brutal life, and if they make it to adulthood, do not live long in comparison to to the females.
