Polar Bears

The polar bear, also known as the ice bear, is found only in the far northern reaches of the planet. It is a true marine mammal, and is comfortable swimming and spending time in ice cold air. It hunts its main prey of seal by stalking the seal on the frozen ice when the seal comes up to breathe through its water hole. Global warming and melting Arctic ice is putting tremendous pressure on the polar bear in its struggle to survive in a harsh environment.
