Summertime is a good time to go to Svalbard, Norway to see the polar bears. Spitsbergen, one of the main islands in Svalbard, is the place to see them. There is 24 hours of daylight (kinda hard to go to bed with all that sunshine), and this island has one of the highest concentrations of them.

Here are a few miscellaneous photos of what you might see on such a trip. The video at the end of a collared female was taken in April on a snowmobile trip Dr. P took. Even though everything was still frozen, there was 24 hours of daylight.
